Merc Retrograde in the Media
MSNBC takes on the Mercury Retrograde stereotype that electronics malfunction whenever the planet of communication appears (from our vantage point) to move backwards. Noting that a Hubble telescope repair mission had to be rescheduled because of technical malfunction, the respected news site seems to agree: things get weird around retrograde.

Mercury Retrograde in Music
In homage to that time when Mercury appears to move backward, New York-based singer/songwriter Jesse Malin released a live album in which he says he was "going back to the original essence of how [the songs] were written, on an acoustic guitar." Fitting, as Mercury Retrograde is an ideal time to look back and return to or correct the past.
